If you ever wanted to know what to look for in betting MLB this is the book for you. It will tell you what and what's not important when looking at each game. His method involves how many base runners at team should get during a game and then coming up with a line based on that. After doing that then he may adjust the number based on a number of other factors he deems important.Also his section on money management has excellent suggestions on how to manage your bankroll, such as, what your starting bankroll should be and then how to adjust your wagers if winning or losing. After reading this section I now use his method of betting.
I very much recommend this book whether your just a beginner or experienced bettor. 5 out of 5 for me

Amazing book for setting up your own model to handicap games. The author's website is paltreemlb.com and he is very helpful if you have any questions. Easy to read and a must read for baseball bettors at any level!
The author has obviously put in a lot of work and is very serious about baseball. His betting methods are muddled and hard to understand.
I have heard him on local radio several a times and he is very good and knows his stuff but it just didn't translate very we'll trying to explain the method he uses to determine which games he bets.
Incoherent babble. There are no formulas in this book. He lists a number of unrelated statistics and then claims to have a prediction. Someone please tell me how the fact that the Braves scored 23 runs in their last 11 games results in a prediction of 12 base runners.
Excellent step by step chapters on how the author wagers on baseball. The "handicap by base runners" approach he uses was an eye opener. Another way Strasser comes to a decision point by comparing the line he makes versus the sports book is an excellent way to handicap. This book is a useful tool I'll use when handicapping this sport in the future.
